THE 70S ARE BACK
If you haven’t heard of TRANSGUNNER yet take a deep breath. They’re the you-heard-it-here-first rock band of the moment and they’re dripping with that filthy, dirty, poor and shameless seventies rock n’roll. Their sound is so caked with quaaludes and polyester you could call it rock parmesean.
Their story is : They were founded in 1969 by Rocky ‘Bistoufly’ Stellmen, Bobby Stalford, Larry ‘ Gibbs’ Gibson and Douglas Patterson. In 1971, they began the longest international tour in the history of rock n’ roll. Sadly, in October 28, 1979 the group’s lead singer Rocky died in a tragic drug overdose, which obviously destroyed the band’s harmonious stage presence and remaining bandmembers’ emotional wellbeing. The survivors could not go on, so they decided to freeze themselves and, by default, their utter genius until November 20, 2006, when their record label decided it was time to unleash it onto the nation’s unsuspecting youth. Remi, Thibault and Julien are fascinating in the way that bands like Black Sabbath and the Who were. They gripped a ton of regional attention with their debut record, “Electric, Eccentric, and Orgasmic” and are now reaching for national stardom. It obviously won’t be long now that they’ve reached the pages of Forever Young.
