“YOU !” DID GREAT

In honor of the release of their EP “Disappear,” YOU ! played at the Bus Palladium in Pigalle last night.

The little-known  Romauld Boivin, alongside the less little-known Jose Reis Fontao of Stuck In The Sound, are the founders of this borderline hallucinogenic musical project. Last night, the duo was accompanied on stage by David Fontao and Douglas Cavanna of I Am Un Chien. The few YOU ! Internet videos I had watched before were underwhelming compared to their unbelievable live set. Their upcoming album is sure to cause a big enough ripple in the music world, because their rock-electro fusion sound is so unique and still good, which is rare. YOU ! conquers their audience with their explosive live sets but also, I will say again and again, JRF’s captivating voice, a voice whose marvelous grizzle is unparalleled.

At the end of the show, they so sincerely thanked their audience for being there—so modest, so touching… I hope to see them in Paris again soon!
